Jacob Diewald

Jacob Diewald is a performer and educator based out of Dallas, Texas and is starting his first year of teaching as Assistant Director at Clark High School. Mr. Diewald teaches the Symphonic Band, Varsity Band, and Jazz Band along with assisting all performing ensembles and functions of the program. He is joining the Clark High School staff after graduating Magna Cum Laude with a Bachelor Degree in Music Education and a Jazz Certification from Texas Tech University. Laura Sturch, Director

Laura Sturch is entering her 22nd year as a band director and her 6th year as Director of Bands at Clark High School. Mrs. Sturch conducts the Wind Ensemble, Concert Band and Marching Band at Clark High School as well as oversees all aspects of the Clark Band program. Gerardo Chavero, Jr.

Mr. Chavero joined the Clark HS Staff in 2011 as the Clark Colorguard Director. Since his time here the colorguard program has received the “Outstanding Colorguard” award for five consecutive years at the Plano East Marching Invitational Contest. Mr. Chavero has had the opportunity to perform and compete in the Drum Corps International World Class division with both The Troopers Drum & Bugle Corps and The Cavaliers Drum & Bugle Corps. Michael A. Hernandez, Associate Director of Bands, Percussion Coordinator

Michael A. Hernandez is the Associate Director of Bands and Percussion Coordinator for the Plano Senior High School Cluster in Plano, Texas, and formerly, a founder and Operations Executive for the north Texas based percussion-publishing company, Drop6 Media, Inc. As the Plano Senior High School Associate Director of Bands, Michael conducts the Plano Symphonic Band (Non-Varsity) and the Plano Concert 2 Band (Sub Non-Varsity B). Tex Boxley

Tex Bosley studied Music Education at the University of North Texas where he won a PASIC World Championship with the UNT Drum Line. Tex marched five tours with Drum Corps International aging out with Carolina Crown after three tours there. He’s been a member of the Plano Percussion staff since 2003, and he’s highly in demand as both a performing and recording artist.
